Wonderful idea and I am always drawn to the way that you colour ... like there is a sensitivity to it. You portray your characters in such delicate colours and they have a softness to them also, but they are always strong images. This painting is no exception. Though it is a practice piece, it still has a strong impact and your lighting is one thing I always appreciate in your work. Good job.

This must be some other definition of 'playing around' than I'm familiar with. This is simply beautiful - the colours, the effects, and the subject. Ultimately it is your call about the 'jaw', and if your intent is for 'realism' - but remember, sometimes the flaws are what give a piece it's interest, and it can be a subtle and unconscious thing for most viewers. Regardless, I love this. Well done!

if you change the eye color to a dark green, make the hair a dark brown, have the dress black and the locket silver.........it would look like me at my homecoming dance XDDD
