Hey, all. It's been WAY too long. I've been *super* busy with various gigs. Still trying to balance everything. Anyway, here's a quick drawing just to show I'm still alive. Based off a cosplay pic I saw online. Hopefully I can do some more finished/personal artwork soon. Hope you like it!

Very nice! Gunbuster is a long-time favorite of mine...methinks I needs to watch it again!
Hmm...maybe I'll get out the video game and try to play a bit more...it's difficult for me, being all in Japanese, but it's still fun!

Diebuster had a completely different feel to it. I did like how it finally came together with the timeline of the original Gunbuster story at the end, and all the bits and pieces started falling into place. Personally, I think they meshed them together pretty well.
Video game: Yeah, AFAIK, it was Japan-only, PS2. I picked up a Japanese PS2 when I went to Japan in 2005, and had picked up the game to NDK later that same summer. The idea is that they took the scripts that they didn't get to complete for the series and used them for the game storyline. The graphics and animation sequences are right out of the anime, and I thought it looked great!

( That Swimsuit she is wearing is actually the standard female Space Fleet Training Uniform )
The series character design was done by Haruhiko Mikimoto ( a major artistic influence to me ), the same guy that did the ones for MACROSS ( ie the first arc of the Harmony Gold produced ROBOTECH series in the U.S.).
( This OAV series came out back in 1988, before "Evangelion", and , it seems, before 75 percent of the Deviantart Membership was born. 
I heartly recommend for all you younger anime fans to check it out, it's pretty good!

Agreed, it's a classic. It was directed by Hideaki Anno, before he did Evangelion.
The sequel, Diebuster, was pretty good too. It was produced by the crew that put together FLCL.
