Description I decided to re-color my last pic (see here: [link] ). I learned a lot since the last one and wanted to try it again. I considered replacing the last one with this one (I still may) but I think it's cool to see the different takes on the same pic. >_<

In terms of specifics, I made selections with the pen tool as opposed to the lasso so they're a lot smoother and I built up tone to make the drawing have more 'weight' to it. Still learning, but I think I'm on the right track. The next pic will be of something different. Promise! Hope you like it!

Looks like you'Re developing lots of different styles in very little time. Doesn't have to be bad, but having seen the other picture first, this one doesn't look quite as good to me. The blue-ish shadows is what's most bothering me, I think.
In terms of execution, it does look better than the other one... especially in the face, the lines are a lot clearer. I also like how you re-worked the signiture ^^"

And yeah, pen tool selections are a lot better to handle than lasso's. Personally (even in my every day work as a designer), I barely use the lasso ever, and if I do, polygon lasso only for quick selections. Pen tool is simply my all-time favourite

I agree with you. I softened/lessened the blue tones. I think it looks better now.
