Description

Wow, it's been so long. >_< I still don't have access to a new computer, but I had access to a scanner -- so I had to draw! Here are the main characters for my story 'Infinite Harem' I was working on before my computer dying promptly interrupted me from continuing. Cassandra (the bunny-girl in the bottom right) was going to be introduced in Chapter Three. I haven't even drawn her in the story yet! Hopefully, I can draw it at some point. ^_^

I was trying SO MANY THINGS with this. I was growing super-tired of how long it would take to clean up my pages before I could tone them. (Sometimes, I'd spend upwards of an hour and a half -- just cleaning up my pencils -- before I put in tones.) Since drawing manga is an absurd amount of work WITHOUT that, I'm trying to find a way to shorten that step. Thus, INKING my stuff. (Crazy, I know ) I gotta get comfortable with it before I start doing pages with it. I'm getting better and more comfortable with it -- but I'm still learning stuff all the time. Like here, I'm not happy with the jawlines of any of these characters. So, that shows me I need to be very clear on how I want that jawline to look BEFORE I ink it (as opposed to just inking it and hoping it works 'in the moment' as I did here). The clean-up step was faster here, so that's an improvement. Not non-existent -- but much better.

I also didn't have any dark-skinned characters yet, and I wanted the house full of girls to look more interesting. Gotta have a variety of character designs! The inspiration of Cassandra is CLEARLY Fran from Final Fantasy 12 (dark skin, bunny girl, white hair), but I'm hoping I can bring my own spin on that type of character. She won't be super-tall, so that's a start. >_< How do characters with different skin tones look in manga? Well, we'll find out together. LOL

ANYWAY, I see this as a step in the right direction. I gotta start back drawing again (I'm super-rusty -- clearly). >_< Once I'm a bit more comfortable and my computer is back, I'll resume Chapter Three with INKED pages (at least, that's the plan right now).

Much love, y'all. Hope you like it. Cheers!
