These kinds of fractals definitely are plentiful when it comes to detail and depth, you proved it here. Spectacular colors and those little bits of "shading" - really cool effect there.

A great piece - inspiring in both technical and artistic ways.

Pretty damn nice is what I think! It has somewhat of a Celtic knot thing going on - but taken to a level heretofore unrealized.
So about this LazySusan variation...

Excelent! I must say im perplexed to how you got it to look like only one texture on the ring, also that there is patterns on the inside and outside of a whole ring?(if that makes any sense?)...where you leading us now no-one can tell!

The textured ring is made with julian. the rest is with a variation i just wrote, called LazySusan

hehehe, thanks, now it would have took me a long time to work that out! I thought julian created the same textures as juliascope no?

I hope you weren't trying for too long The textures could be made with juliascope too

what can i say, i like it very much, somehow the deepness of the circles, but maybe i'm reading to much into it........... (-;

the 3D feeling is exceptional.. it's almost like a render out of a 3D program. they look like tangled up ropes.. simply amazing

This is very much 'Celtic Knot' -ish. The monochrome gradient reminds me of the pewter brooches and necklaces I have seen...on sale for LOTS of money!
Is there any possibility that you would share the technique for this and some of the other similar fractals you have in your gallery? I notice there are a lot of inquisitive people commenting on this!

This one, and most of my recent fractals are made with variations i wrote, that interact with other variations in a different way. They are not ready for the general public though

Very detailed - first of all, of course, I noticed the tangles, then the 'etched effect and then I spotted the little spirals and then I thought wow! Michael knows my sister-in-law and has named a flame after her!! (Yes I do know what a Lazy Susan is really!). Seriously, I like it a lot but I say that about everything you do. What I really want to know is how!

Thanks Michael - so where do I find this LazySusan variation then or is it a private one of your own? I've been concentrating on UF lately as I've done 2 of Janet's classes and feel maybe I've missed out on some new Apo stuff. I'm bored with julians and plastic - need some inspiration.

The variation works differently than the rest of the variations. It could cause a lot of problems and frustrations for users I still have to figure out how to get around that
