hey Michael, would I be wrong in thinking that this could be possible with recent Apo?

I am reminded of the 'time vortex' of Doctor Who.
Excellent.

I just have to ask: to get your flames looking so solid, do you concentrate mainly on the weights of the transforms, or the coloring? I only ask because I manipulate the coloring as well as the weights in my flames. I find that certain gradients actually improve the solidity of a flame in spots where weight-manipulation couldn't quite fix the problem.
Thanks in advance, and this flame looks killer by the way.

i would say that weights are more important than colouring in my fractals. The full 'solid' look is from all areas of the image having approximately equal amounts of points transformed there there, and nothing overlapping. Correctly setting the weights will get this to happen - if you have set up the transforms correctly as well.

What splendid detail and design. Colours are great. You should sell this architectural design for someone to build!

My theory.. Apophysis is up to version 10, and you are keeping it a huge secret.
This is absolutely incredible... my brain actually hurts trying to think of how it was done.
Made my wishlist, made my favorites, made my day.

Wowww....how do you get it soooo sharp like that? It looks completely un-Apo-ish.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
MichaelFaber In reply to FiberFiend [2007-04-14 05:17:53 +0000 UTC]
It's clean and sharp because none of the transforms transform to the same place - nothing overlaps.

You sure can keep track of all of your triangles. Very nice! It's got a very 3D feel to it
Are you sure you're not using 3D Max?
