This episode is a similar plot to dog day afternoon from the road trip story arc and if you see my opinions in that review, you’ll know that I enjoyed the episode well except for the ending this episode would’ve been a perfect opportunity to get rid of something that the louds has had for a very long time with this time being the van it’s also similar to season 2 Vantastic Voyage so how does this episode did for me it actually does a really good job in fact, this is one of the best episodes of season 7 the louds are holding up a funeral service for the van as the vehicle has completely died out so they’re basically treating the van like it’s a real person, so does that mean that Lynn senior has schizophrenia as well like Luan does and the reason why the van has died out is because the Louds got themself stuck in a washer machine, and they got stuck in there for 7 hours. How the fuck did none of the louds have any broken bones or died cartoon logic, I guess. Rita suggests that they finally got rid of the van, but Lana and Linda Senior refuse to let go I know a lot of people give Lola crap about saying a comment about Lynn's van She’s surprised they haven’t got rid of the van years ago. You know what I have to say she’s not wrong I am surprised at the louds have not got rid of the van years ago as the van has been around since the 1950s when the great grandfather has bought the car also when has there been a cars from the 1950s still running today in 2023? That was 73 years ago. And my grandfather has a truck that we called the Blazers and he bought that in the 1980s 43 years ago and he still has it although it’s not running currently I’m not even sure if it’s still working or not so yeah I’m on Lola side here. It’s for the best the Louds need to get a new van it’s completely outdated since Lynn Senior and Lana refused to get a new van and beg Rita to fix the van, and she agrees, but tells them if they can’t fix the van by the weekend they’ll have to get a new van this promotes Lucy to walk into the backyard to tell Boris, who is digging a grave for the van that the funeral is hold seriously they’re going to bury the van in the backyard later Lana, and then Senior brings the van into the garage to oversee what is wrong with the vehicle at the moment Leonard has heard the news about the van dying out, arrive to help out as well the three commit several tests in order to determine the cause of the problem, such as rolling down a steep hill to see if the pistons are faulty also Lynn Senior farm. It’s every single time he makes it to the top and apparently, he has the weakest stomach. I thought I have the weakest stomach in the world. Having it get a surge of power from lightning to see if it’s an electrical problem. Unfortunately, none of these test proving to be successful. Also, Lynn senior get struck by lightning and somehow doesn’t die after having the van slightly dismembered lives in your place with a rusted block that he believes is his cow ball however, Leonard realizes that’s actually the left crank cylinder gasket and sees how rusted and worn out it is the 3 conclude that this is the part that caused the problem with this information the three decides to go to flip of course they do why not just go to a real mechanic or something at flip Lana Lynn, senior and Leonard ask flip if he has the left Craig cylinder gas leak for a fun family then but flip says that he doesn’t have it because the fan of the vehicle doesn’t even exist as the real manual function of the vent is called fungo however, slip breaks the news that the part is extremely hard to get by now as the company went bankrupt years ago luckily, he says that the inventor of the fan and name of the company is Fred fungo is nearby as he lives in the abandoned factory outside of town. This promotes the 3 to immediately head there. Also, Lana doesn’t have her overalls on when I first watch this episode. I thought this was an animation error and I was about to scream that this was an animation error because that’s what I thought it was and was like how the fuck did they manage to screw that up but no it’s not an animation error she did it on purpose arriving to the Bandan fungo, manual, faction planet Lana Lynn, senior, and Leonard, request to be let in, but Freddy angry tells them to go to way to three decided to break in after several failed attempts to three manage to enter the factory, but the second they enter Freddy prepares to have them kicked out thinking that they come saying that his van sucks and they were going to mock him and even captures them fortunately just before they get thrown out the three stated that they love the van and even have personal photo as proof one for Leonard one for Lynn senior and even Lana who was a baby at that time so we got the louds from the 1950s the louds from the 1970s the loud from the 1990s and the current louds from the 2010s Freddy is Voice by Franklin Collinson and he does a good job for his role this cost ready to state and nobody has ever said anything good about his fan before and he explains his original invention. In the 1940s He grew up in a large family, but at the time there’s not a lot of room for his family, and he wanted to build his own car for all the siblings, but everyone was into sports cars. although sports car was invented in 1902 38 years before Freddy’s time and nobody wanted to buy his van so he was forced to shut down now after overhearing that his van made one of the family happy he decides to help them out. OK, I have one question if he says that no one said anything nice about his vans before, then how does not remember the louds great grandfather he was the one that bought the car from him I guess he just doesn’t remember him. Unfortunately, Freddy doesn’t have a spare left cart similar gasket in his inventory he doesn’t know how to make it from scratch so the 4 decide to get to work on building the car part. The next day after installing the new left crank cylinder gas leak into the van Leonard turns on the van here it is the moment of truth will it be fix holy shit they manage to fix the van this excites, the Louds, even Lola for some reason Leonard, and takes a group photo with the loud family and Freddy because of the van successful repair, Lucy tells Boris, who was standing over the grave alongside the loud pets that the funeral has been canceled promoting and exhausted boards to jump in the grave to get some rest so this episode is great I like how they tried so hard to fix the van because it means so much to the louds. That’ll do anything to fix the van and I am very glad that they were able to fix the van. I know people are going to ask me Michael didn’t you just say that you would rather have the louds get rid of the van because it’s completely outdated? Why are you saying that you’re glad that they’re able to fix the van and you got pissed when they didn’t get rid of Mr. Coconut in doll day afternoon. Well, true, I do rather if the louds did you get a new van since the van is clearly outdated, but there are major differences between this and doll day afternoon with leave no van behind, they don’t treat the van like it’s a real person well except for Lynn senior, in general and the kids even treat it like it’s a real person in this episode when they didn’t in the past and they tried so hard to fix the van because it means so much to the lower family history that they’ll do anything to get the van to work now the reason why I was pissed with Doll Day afternoon because that stupid ending had one of the laziest excuses to give up someone I have ever seen and it’s pretty common. The guy is too old for Mr. Coconuts and gives a much younger kid his old creation. Not to mention a lot of people myself included, hates Mr. Coconuts. Oh yeah, and here’s another huge difference between Doll Day Afternoon and Leave No Van Behind Leave No Van Behind doesn’t feel forced but Doll Day Afternoon feels incredibly forced. I will say both Doll Day Afternoon and leave no van behind has great flashbacks and all day afternoon did have a promising start, especially with a great scavenging hunt but like I said, dial, the afternoon is ruined by the force ending, which is one of the worst endings on the show the only thing I find weird about this episode is that I didn’t wanna not give a shit about the van in season 2 Vantastic Voyage and yet she gives a shit about the fan in this episode is that she is not the only person the rest of the siblings, except for Lola didn’t give a shit about the van in Vantastic Voyage and they also give a shit about the van here. I don’t know if this is just me, but that feels kind of forced but thankfully it’s not horribly forced, and speaking of Vantastic Voyage this is a much better version of that episode and well I do prefer if the louds didn’t get a new van because I think will be much better for the show if they get a much modern version van I’m also glad they were managed to fix the van as you do feel bad for the louds since the van they currently have has been around for over 70 years and it’s hard to say goodbye sometimes and this episode is a much better version and how you do Doll Day afternoon the right way, especially that ending
