Description
Acrylic on card.A tribute to Jackson Pollock.
Non-representational abstract expressionism.
I used more force with this piece. I didn't mix any water with the paint and I used an opposite colour scheme.

this art maintains that reality has already been expressed and the themes of it have been exhausted in relation to art. Therefore, the need arises for a new way of perceiving reality. to recommend my favorite artists Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Frida Kahlo, Roberto Matta Gabino amaya cacho and Pablo Picasso.

wow, this is really, really cool! I'm researching Jackson Pollock for this oral I have to do in art class. I'm sorry for such a mindless question but; How do you get such short, energetic lines? I have tried once, and I'm obviously not using the right technique. I sort of just fling it, and it doesn't turn out how I had wished.
I guess it just takes more practices, anyway, fantastic piece :3

Thanks. Just keep experimenting with different paint thicknesses and wrist movement. And don't be scared to make a mess.. Because you will.

How many layers did you use here?
Is all of this done in acrylic? I only ask the latter question because I can't ever seem to get my acrylic to a consistency that's (for lack of better term) sloppy enough to fling onto my canvas or plywood. Any tips?

There is at least seven or eight different layers.
With acrylic paint, try mixing it with varying amounts of water or 'clear painting medium' until you get the consistency you're after.
You can check out my paintings gallery for some other examples if you like.

Thanks.
I just decided on a colour scheme and then its just a matter of building up layers of paint without actually touching the surface.

I actually like it better than Pollack. Really. This, to me, has more depth to it, it's richer, its warmer. His stuff leaves me cold.
