Description
On my list of ideas, this one has been at the top for a long time. I love bonsai trees (and own a few) so i guess it was only a matter of time before I merged my two passions! This is modeled after the most common type of tree used in Bonsai, the Juniper. I really like those, and Japanese Maples. (Maybe that is next)
You may have noticed there are wires around her arms. Pretty much every bonsai needs to be wired to get a unique look and it is ok to display the trees in shows with the wires still on. I see it here as a metaphor to the necessity of human interaction to create 'beauty.' Now, in my opinion the female figure needs no assistance to be beautiful but a little tinkering doesn't hurt.

I think this is one of my favorites from you. It's very organic. I love your borg/sci-fi looking pieces as well, but this is a beautiful change of pace.

Very nice blending of human and tree. Brings to mind that the Tree Of Life is also referred to as the Mother Tree. (And the World Tree, but I suspect that's a different piece of art.)

This is probably one of your most original ideas you have executed, the details are amazing and you have succeeded in making the woman a part of the tree, like she always was supposed to be..
The Beauty and grace of a Bonsai tree perfectly combined with the beauty and grace of a woman...

Right outside Asheville, North Carolina, there is an actual Bonsai [apparently pronounce Bone-Sigh] Museum, with literally hundreds of them either on display or accessible in the green houses out back. We took so many pictures of what were some of the most beautiful examples of the art I'd ever seen, it became comical towards the end. Think we got like a hundred and fifty shots.
Anyway...
Love this.
Goes in the Favorites.
