Excellent shot, & such beautiful colours
I like it that there are 6 main focal points

Sandy Beach
~ Low fence
Luscious green grasses
In the distance A mountain, dark
In sharp contrast A white gull in flight
One of its wing tips just touching ~ The pastel blue sky

Beautiful shot. I always find it impossible to photograph wildlife.... although i guess gulls are a bit more intrepid than most wildlife and will get closer.

I like this photograph. I usually have a lot to say about something, but in this case the only fault I find in this photograph is the contrast. If you take the photo into photoshop and go to Image> Brightness/Contrast and up your contrast to +15 you will see a world of difference. The haze is either from the sun or the scan, but either way when you add the contrast I would say the photo was near perfect.

Overall given the time of day the lighting is good. I like the lower shadows for this one. The background is fantastic as well and the sand is nice and smooth. You did a great job.

Sailor Toe, I think this is a great shot, I especially like the lighting, was it mid-day? It's as if you caught everything holding its breath.
