The colors here were only possible due to the wonders of polarization. Los Angeles was kind enough to donate their pollution, generating a perpetual haze across the entire canyon.Related content

I like the rich color of the earth in this photo, it definately helped to use a polarizer. Though I feel it is a tad bit too busy, without a clear seperation of what to look at first. I keep wondering where the sky went? I think this could have been a bit more pleasing if the sky were in the scene, it might have contrasted the color of the canyon nicely. Though this is a great photo i feel including the sky, a big part of the desert landscape is somewhat required when doing shots like this.
Nice work, i only might have changed one thing. everything else is great

this shot should have way more comments than this. i was completely blown away when i glimpsed this. i so want to go to the grand canyon soon. ok, now, my only thing is (i know i sound like an asshole for this, but i'm a writer, and it sticks out to me) in the description, it should say, "los angeles was kind enough to donate its pollution", since there is only one los angeles. magnificent shot though.
