It was time the Professor finally reinvented themselves, post Time War.
She, the only other time He became a she, was a Tinkerer.
While she worked on herself, she worked on the Tech within her TARDIS, making the many backups that would keep the TARDIS running even if something were to break,
she regained her love of the sciences which she long ago abandoned, working all together to try and make herself.
Who did they want to be.
