Instead of posting a journal entry for everyone to read, which seems to be the standard, I wanted to do something different, maybe start a new tradition here on as a way to remember artist that have been taken away from us by posting one of their pieces of artwork for everyone to see...

"I did not draw this picture, this was drawn by the late great Michael Turner, I am in no way associated with this drawing...I want to post a picture that was most fitting for this tragic loss to the comic industry and the way that we all feel about this loss"

Since Heroes Con, I have been thinking once again about Mike Wieringo, and the fact that it's now almost been a year since he left us. So it felt really somewhat surreal and shocking when I just read that Michael Turner passed away...!

It is not fair that so many artist have passed away recently

I've followed Michael Turner's work since Witchblade and one can say that he was one of the most influential artists in the 90's. His way of drawing beautiful women has been emulated by so many other artists out there and what I liked alot in his work was his amazing sense of detail...which leads me to say that everyday when I sit down at my computer, I am surrounded by all my Batman collectibles...one of those being the Michael Turner Batman figure from Identity Crisis and the detail in that figure is just amazing.
