Just fabulous, but i have one question : Why have you made lineart between The first speed painting in grey level and final ? Was it necesery ? May be necessary just for the building ?

Thank you! I found this is what works best for me when the scene is more difficult and complex. When I do the line art I dont have to think anout the light, atmosphere and colors, I concentrate only on the objects in the scene. Then, later I use the line art as a guide in separate multiply layer and do the colors (i now can think solely about the colors and what would work best). Then I delete the line art and approach the picture as painting, correct what I dont like, paint some more details when needed etc.

Thx for your reply. i'm trying to make an illustration "fan art" for your illutration lighthouse. Just because it inspired me. That will not as good as this illustration, but i hope you like.

Wow! So sweet and cozy!
What came first regarding the process: lineart or the value blocking?

The little town reminds me of the old Monkey Island games.
I'd say you captured the cartoony look quite well.

All of these are stunning. I'd love to see a bigger version of the inks, though! There's all sort of interesting detail going there.

A new style. Fun to see the process. Is this for an art test?

Wow, excellent! I especially like the clouds, the lines in the BW version and the dissapearing hills in the background. You should definitely do more pieces like this, I would like to visit this place.
Nice colors, lots of sun, the environment reminds me of the comicbook WellenlΓ€ufer by Manarama. or anything with pirates and sailors
