Description
Cover for a fantasy novel. This is very popular series in Slovak and Czech Republic (it's also been published in Poland and Russia). I'm acctually doing covers for it my whole illustration career. Hopefully one day it will be published in english as well (there are some talks
)On this cover I tried to combine my new approach to illustration with my old style. I think it worked quite well. There will be more in this style soon

Awesome work! I love the chaotic feel you achieved with the environment and you reeeaaaalllly make me want to know all about this archer guy. He looks awesome. Do you read the books as well when doing the covers? If the books are half as awesome as this picture is I hope they do get translated to English!!!

Thanks! I usually don't read them, but on these I comunicate a lot with the author. He's practically art directing it. Usually he's just finishing the book when I'm doing the illustration, so sometimes it happens it changes something to fit the illustration as well
