So was going to ask if in that other recent pic of the bridge if the colorful railing was made up of padlocks... Patience is a virtue I'm told and here is the answer to my question that is a lot of locks!

so people put padlocks up for there love for each and these locks are suppose to stay there unless they breakup or something? Β

ThatΒ΄s right and the river is full of keys, because couples that put padlocks there threw away the key in the river.

Well if it didn't work out there is always that wonderful invention called a lawyer... no wait I mean a bolt cutter, yeah bolt cutter to cut the padlock off.
well that's if anyone was so inclined or worse even able to find their padlock back at all

I tried to find mine and my bf but it was impossible, it was like looking for a needle on a hay stack.

Has anybody an idea how many locks are there?
I wonder if some bridge engineer looks at that and wonders if the weight throws off the load calculations?
