Description
A Praying Mantis done in black and white gouache on black paper. Not much to say about it, it was a painting class excercise, but i'm kind of happy with the result

Sorry but I don't understand a thing about drawing so I can only say that it looks spectacular! Seems like it isn't there, like a ghost or projection or something...

I just love the detail in this, the little whispy hairs on the legs are such a great touch. A lot of people get nervous when faced with doing something like that. I love the air holes in the abdomine... this is just very well done all around. The white looks slick and smooth, like thier skin feels. Very good exorcize, I'd say.

Well i did use a reference, but it's all mine! First sketched out the basics shapes in white conte. Then painted over it with the white and the black
