Ryeden and Vessa, from my Overdrive manga.This is a first look at Vessa, though you won't get to see her for a while in the manga.
This is what Ryeden wants, but has never had.

It seems like I've been working on this piece forever! I finished the line-art months ago and have attempted to colour it many times. I think I scrapped what I had done like 3 times before settling on this colour scheme. So yeh, I worked on and off for a couple of months on this one, about 6 hours all up. Damn Uni to hell!
Completed with PSCS and Wacom Intuos 3

Although this image is over a year old and I have gotten better since then (i think), but I've kinda shelved the Overdrive project, so won't be revamping this piece.
I really do appreciate your crit though, and I'll make sure I adapt it to my new works

ooo i really love how uve portrayed Ryeden's vulnerability... very clever use of pose. the fact that she is ruffling his hair while he lies on her lap indicates she is trying to comfort him but i see her eyes that she is a distant place. i also really love the light and shadow on his back... SEXY

I like the colouring, it has a very twilight feeling to it which really works well with the poses. Man, that pose Ryeden's in would have been hard to draw

Haha yeh it is isn't it. Vessa's eyes are a little too far apart as well.

Well, the eyes seem okay to me seeing as she's looking at an angle, but i understand the laziness factor seeing as I have it all the time.
