When he was a young colt he was picked on and bullied daily by his brothers and sisters. Cockroach was born with a colorful Exoskeleton and his mother Queen Chrysalis didn't much like that, so Queen Chrysalis abused him, by calling him names, humiliating him every chance she got she made his young life a living hell.

So one day he had enough of the abuse he snapped and killed one of his brothers. Queen Chrysalis was furies and ordered for Cockroach to be killed but Cockroach fled before they could do anything to him.

He's been on the run and hiding. Sometimes he takes on the form as a poor, homeless earth pony to hide amongst all the other ponies. To make sure that no other Changeling will find him.
