They are what happens if you condense a MS-06 Zaku II gundam.wikia.com/wiki/MS-06F_Z… into the size of a medabot. They are nicknamed IGLOO here since their head is the shape of an igloo.

Back ground:

Though they are not the best and is outmatched by Morpho midnightdj-sk.deviantart.com/a… in terms of stats, they make up for it in sheer number. Quantity has a quality of its own, as Stalin would put it.

My medabot fan canon is meant to resemble real life as much as possible, technology that would allow people to create bipedal AI machine (medatech) could never stay a secret forever. In this scenario, the Medacorp data base suffered a mass cyber attack by the Russian government. Upon the data leak, the OKB, experimental weapon design bureau started the creation of combat medabots. The Igloo units are one of the first successful mass production batch of those medabots. Cheap and reliable, they soon became common among insurgent movements happening across third world countries. Acting as fire support/shields/scouts for the troops.

Publicly, OKB denies responsibility for these new medabots thanks to their self desctruct function, and UN so far cannot investigate further due to a lack of evidence. And it is highly likely that Morpho is created as a direct response to the Igloo units. Though it seems at the final stage of her development her mass production was canceled since the US army deemed that weponized medabots weren't that much of a threat.
