So... Coffee Cake.

I have the og design from I think 2017 in a notebook somewhere. I'll just make a comparison for later.

Who is This Character?:

He was the result of me using a crack ship MLP generator and I actually kinda liked the ship. It was Twilight Sparkle x Cinnamon Chai. I made Coffee Cake and he had a younger brother named Arcturus whom I've since renamed to Donut Galaxy. Because I feel like it's a little unfair for Coffee to have his name and just his brother be Arcturus. Gotta give the brothers equal footing in their names.

Who is This Character Now?:

Still Coffee Cake lol. I think the og Coffee had no purpose other than to serve as the "non-bastard Twilight child" because he had an older brother who was going through a weird emo evil magician phase? I can't remember his older brother's original name but basically that brother was the love child of Tempest and Twilight and idk what happened but basically he was the "big baddie" who wanted to kill Twilight because she abandoned him and his mom...

Yea so that's not happening anymore.

Coffee still has an older brother but they have an ok relationship. Definitely strained because Twilight didn't want a kid at the time but Tempest wanted to go through with the pregnancy. Tempest left to raise her son on her own(ends up married to Chrysalis and Luna later on) and years later Twilight marries Cinnamon Chai and they have sweet little Coffee Cake here.

Despite being Twilight's kid, the honor of main character was... Also Twilight's kid lol. Whatever the original name for his older brother was... Yes, that was who the main character was. So he honestly never really had anything going for him.

I honestly haven't written him out much. Because this was intended to be a redesign and I was supposed to flesh him out later but obviously that'll never happen. Instead, I'll just present some basic information instead.

Basic Information:

Name- Coffee Cake

Parent(s)- Twilight Sparkle & Cinnamon Chai(Mothers)

Sibling(s)- Eudialyte Hex(older half brother) & Donut Galaxy(younger brother)

Age- 31

Gender- Cisgender Male

Pronouns- He/Him

Sexuality/Romantic Preference- Bisexual Biromantic

Spouse- Apollo(husband)

Child(ren)- Daylight Stroll(daughter)
Golden Reigns & Singing Dove(future daughters)

Potential for Story?:

I imagine if I did have to make an arc, it would probably have to be something along the lines of proving his worth to himself.

Because of his status as royalty, I imagine many would play down his efforts as nothing more than the hard work of his mother to make sure her son succeeded.

I think this would then turn into a cycle of Coffee trying to prove himself to his pears and just not getting anywhere. There's definitely a lot of sadness and loneliness during his school years. And definitely a sense of feeling lost on what to do.

And then through his other mother, Coffee finds a joy for baking. It makes him feel good about himself. Yes. Others can bake better than him. But it just feels GOOD.

Like that feeling you get when you just love to do something so much that you can't let it go. That's what it feels like.

So much so that Coffee wants to become a baker. Eventually he gets accepted into culinary school and starts running his own quaint little bakery. Something he bought with his very own money(which he's super excited about because he never got to work for anything. Something that really annoyed him because he wanted to be independent).

Personally, I think his arc would end with a sunset background and him looking at his bakery like "I did it". He's just very proud of himself.

He worked hard. It wasn't his mother who got him to where he was. It was HIMSELF.

So yea. Coffee is done. I'll probably be doing Hex next because that boy is an entire mess in and of his own and needs so much work.
