Ugh, your traditional work is just so stunning and beautiful.
I love how soft your coloring is, and your wonderfully soft fur detail.
I also love how you did the water, and the ripples.

What I do first is draw a whole lot of little triangle thingees in the general shape and the way the fur falls, then I go through shading in the darkest point on each of those. The darkest point is allways the closest to its skin.
The I vary the darkness of the greys I use, the lightest ones pick out the highlights, and the midtones make a graduation.
When all the shadings done, I go through again with the black making little lines inside each "triangle" to mimic hair...
I hope you can understand that XD

LOL I just use alot of coloured pencil... its easy I guess, layers upon layers of pencil.
Can be quite expensive. Sometimes it helps to use different sorts of pencil, like a hard one eg: Crayola or Roseart and then a more soft pencil eg: Stabilo, Prismacolours.
Prismas give you the blending ability, and Crayola give you detail, then you gotta press hard on the paper instead of doing sketches or light layers.
Bristol or illustration board is also very good to work with, it allows you more freedom with pressure

Oo thank you for the tips heheh.. Because I use mainly colored pencils, and that can be hard on the hands when I color LOL Serisouly, b/c I press so hard ^_^ But this helps, thanks Midnight!
