It had been hard to get the necessary amount of money to make that gift… Really hard. Saphir had to sell so many different things to stranger, complete some absurd mission for this greedy person. However, he was the only one with this special gift he wanted so much.

So here he was, in front again of that door. The whole village was, for once, so full of noise, thanks to all those “future” pokémons. Saphir couldn’t help but made a little smile. After all, some of them helped him by buying some of the herbs and other stuff he had to offer. It should have taken him months to reach his goal.

He shaked his head. It was stupid to continue to think about all those events.

The mudkip finally knocked at the door, hoping someone will respond to him. A few seconds went by, and then it opened. Grand Kec stared at the young Pokémon, waiting.

“Excuse me sir, I’m here to finally give you the money I owe you. I hope you still have that artifact...”

The kecleon seemed to think for a moment, trying to remember what the hell this mudkip could have asked for…. Ah ! That was that…

“Yes. Show me the money first and I will bring it to you immediately. You’re lucky to have find the money at a time like this… You KNOW what will happen this night, right ?”

Saphir looked away. Of course, he knew about the attack. It wasn’t some big news, for the persons belonging to that time. But for the others…

The mudkip just handed other the bag full of money he had. The kecleon began to shake the bag, opened it and looked if everything was in.

One coin… Two coins… Three coins… Saphir could hardly handle his nervousity. He knew how Micle was when it came to money, one coin missing and he was good to a more expensive price than before. The shop keeper tilted his head when his fingers finally reached the last coin.

“Lucky boy, wait for a minute.”

The kecleon disappeared in his shop. Saphir sighed in relief. That was the only reason why he was still in the area at a time like this.

And then, there it was ! Micle gave the mudkip the famous stone and told him to go away now, he had more important business to do that simply care about one little customer.

He didn’t care, all what mattered now was that stone and the reaction of his partner when she will see it. Yes, finally she would be able to evolve if she wanted to. It was the gift he had fight for for so many months… Hiding it from her was hell. Even more when he needed to go to Tao Village to see Micle and reminded him of their arrangement.

“Finally… Just wait for me now, Tym…”
