A place for prayer and healing.

Sintra, Portugal.
Sanctuary built in the 16th century.
Isolated amidst the dense forest, embedded in the rocks and boulders.
Inside, small cells are furnished with wood and cork.
Was inhabited by eight friars in total seclusion.
Now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
