Description Got one last art doll done for my local fair table and all! Here is y new Halloween Doll - The "Lady of Webs" !! She is a stump doll that stands about 19" tall. Her arms and fingers are wired so she can be slightly posed. Her out fit is comprised of a spider print cotton, spider web netting, and sheer spider web organza along with various laces, trims and ribbon.

She is holding a lone spider on a "web string" from her right hand and has 4 other little spiders on her person! She is wearing a simple felt hat with sheer spider web organza and gemstone spider web. Her hair is a combination of flocked white yarn and black fuzzy yarn rolled into a loose up do. She also has a small web design under her right eye. Face is hand drawn and colored with a mix of gel pens, watercolor pencils, micron pens and actual makeup.

I was so worries I was not gonna get her finished in time but I really pushed myself and got her finished in just under 3 days!

Definitely not my favourite theme (ughh--spiders!! ) but wow, really this is absolutely stunning!!

You got her finished so fast, too! Incredible work, really. A work of art.

thank ya so much!! I seem to stuck on a spider theme for Halloween lately - my last 2 dolls were both "spidery" ~ heh! As son as I saw that black and silver fabric i just knew I had to make another!!!

Yeah - I was so surprised to get her done so quickly! (but I hope to never do that again ~ although I have a feeling it is not to be ) Again Thank you - I am very proud with how she came out!!

*drools* this is so amazing! I tried giving a doll fingers.. even with turning tools I couldn't turn them inside out, the fabric just wouldn't go without puckering!

Thank ya so much! Yeah - it has taken me years to get fingers looking right on my dolls! And most times I have to make 2-3 sets just to make sure

So I shouldn't feel bad that my first attempt looked like a mutant ?

hahaha - naw! The first few times I started making individual fingers I had a habit of poking through the fingers with either my turning tool or the stuffing tool - so not fun!

how long have you been doll-making for?

I stared making cloth dolls about 5 years ago - plushies about 3.5 years ago. My very first doll was a geisha for my 8 year old at the time I was in way over my head but she loved it and I was hooked! 8 can't say that I have improved all that much in the art dolls since i only really make 1 or 2 a year but I love to work on them still and learning techniques with each one I make!

as for the plushies Β I fell in love with all the ones here on DA especially those by AshFantastic and pheleon - it was those 2 that inspired me to try my hand at it as well! And now I am constantly striving to be better at my plushies cause of people like LadyoftheSeireitei , FabledStitches and so many more!Β

Again thank ya so much! She started all because of that pretty silvery spider fabric and the rest just sort of fell in place with her
