Description

The Hel Class are a sub class of the Solar Concordiat Jötunn class heavy cruisers.

These ships were reconfigured with a lower profile to take advantage of a better understanding of warp physics. The lower profile allows the warp bubble to be flatter, increasing maneuvrability in the horizontal plane during warp flight.

A fourth transwarp coil at the back of the engineering hull allows for a smoother transwarp transition and a slightly higher overall speed due to better shaping of the artificial wormhole the ship traverses during Transwarp flight.

Apart from these changes overall performance of these ships was equal to that of the regular Jötunn class.
