The U.S.S. Waco (NCC-2857) was comissioned the same year as the U.S.S. San Antonio (NCC-2850), but was moddified by Captain Westbrook with two additional sensor pods mounted on the underside of the primary hull as this variant was more geared twords scientific and medical missions, rather then logisitcal support.
