Description
In 2295, the Albion-Class was devloped at the Liverpool Shipyards, Earth by Dr. Kieran Janeway. The Albion class had an unorthodox configuration in which the warp nacells were mounted on a posterior extension of the primary hull with a separate, relatively small secondary hull containing the navagational deflectorbelow. It was similar in size to a Constitution-vessel, and could carry at least two hundred passengers. It was primarily an scientific exploration vessel designed to cater to a close support envelope at impulse speeds, namely in and around densely populated solar systems witnessed by its overpowered impulse drive. The Albion-class starship housed multiple scientific research labs which included exobiology, medical, stellar cartography, and astrophyisics. This perticular class of vessel also (at the time), had the abillitie to detect mico gravitational etties in space macking it possible to locate a clocked vessel.

The ship was also equipped with standard sheilds, phasers, and photon torpedos. Extravehicular transporter to and from the ship could be accomplished by a number of transporter systems besides the airlocks, which allowed personnel or equipment to be transported over large ranges.

In 2295, the U.S.S. Phoenix (NCC-5420), and two other Starfleet ships rendezvoued with the U.S.S. Odyssey (NCC-2275) when a Romulan Daeinos Warbird crossed into Federation territory. After an intense stand off with Commander Tal, the Daeions clocked but the U.S.S. Phoenix was able to track their heading and speed. After some slight modifications to a photon-torpedo with an ionized gas sensor, the Phoenix managed to disable the Warbirds clock for a limited time. As a result Tal withdrew from Federation space and returend to Romulas.
