Oh? |D Sounds like good times.
That part of an rp/character arc or..? |D
Eh, I've been sorta blank for the past few months. Things sort of came to a stand-still due to some life situations and that rather affected me in a negative way.. But we're moving to a more lively area where I'll at least have access to society. So I can at least escape these four walls, quite literally, aha.
It's been a while tho, I'm both excited about it and dreading it at the same time. It's weird, man.
Other than that I've been drowning myself in the Dragon Age games, while also working on that comic thing, and I think I can't deny that my love for TES has been replaced by an adoration for DA aha. I still like TES, don't get me wrong, but DA has spoiled me with it's amazing story-telling and player input. I'm sorta worrying TES will fall behind even more. >D>;

I've been roleplaying with a friend in the game and her character kind of likes Souless despite his, everything.
It cool!
Boooooooo, I really hope things look up sooner than later! Don't worry too much! Whatever comes will come or won't anyway, regardless of worry.
And oh yeah? Inquisition? I haven't played it yet, but heard it was guuuuurd. I'm more a Mass Effect fan myself. But Bioware makes good games!
Though, I have a strong feeling that Bethesda knows what it is doing.
Fallout 4 was graaand, but their next Elder Scrolls game is what i'm really waiting for. WOOT WOOT.

That's usually the best way to do it. |D That's kinda what I've done with Keeps.
Not just Inquisition. |D I'm more addicted to Origins honestly (tho I love them all with a passion). The fact that your Warden can be from 6 different origin stories is amazing. And it affects how people see you, what they say etc. |D
I'm really hoping Bethesda add in some more character development because on that front DA is kind of kicking it's butt mercilessly. |D The fact that your companions have personalities and arcs is amazing, and romancing them takes time and courting. It's just amazing how much love and development these characters are given. And how they like you stems from how you treat them. |D
From DA2 your main character talks just as much as everyone else and by Inquisition they really are their own character, just with major player input. I really hope TES starts doing something similar because once you experience DA you can't really go back to something as impersonal. :'I If you played Mass Effect you kinda know what I mean, tho I personally can't get into shooters so for me DA does it far better. |D
And DA's protags arent all just the one character. They are different people. So that's tons of fun. c: You should totes play. :'D Come fawn over it with me. xD

Aww, good on you Keeps.
Really? Well that's good! I beat Origins but, for some reason i'm not really interested in going back and playing it or anything. I did play a little of the second game but didn't get very far for some reason.
I do agree though, Bioware develops characters much more interestingly than Bethesda does. I'm thinking because of Fallout 4, they might begin voicing your protagonist in the next Elder Scrolls but.... would they really give a voice actor for both genders of every race?! :'D That's.... work right there!
Though the reason I can play both I guess, is because while they are both RPG's, one is a linear(ish) adventure while the other is, basically Open World at it's fullest. Maybe I like the fantasy universe of Elder Scrolls more. I mean I should read more about DA's lore and even Mass Effect's, but I usually Roleplay in Elder Scrolls because I know it.
FAWNING!

Oh, I did end up playing some more Oblivion a little while back because nostalgia and ended up doing some mage guild quests. Keeps is like.. no mage at all but he seems to be a jack of all trades. >D> ...and I was far too lazy to make a mage character just for that...
But yeah, ya know that mini quest where you gotta get the frozen tears in that cold glade place?? I just had to draw the aftermath. xD Even master assassins and badasses catch colds.
I'm curious who you romanced. xD
Personally I adore Alistair so he's my main romance for my human noble (and city elf AU of the same character). But I have a fem!mage for Leliana and I'm working on a dalish rogue for Zevran right now. |D
My friend who I share the head canon is romancing Morrigan so feels weird for me to do it but I hear it's cute. |D
Oooh~? I would love to have a character with a voice in the future TES games. c: Maybe if they throw in a more cinematic feel it could be super cool. Inquisition could be a friggin movie if edited properly. The cinematography is amazing.
But yus, the issue with the voices in Inquisition was that there were only 2 for male and female. :u and the American voices were... dull. Honestly I only like the british fem voice. |D ...but it's odd hearing the same voice on different characters.
Idk if I would call it linear since you do explore and do side quests but the story is generally unchanged. Only your origin and world history makes it different which isnt too bad. xD I'll admit wishing that there were side guilds. Having multiple Wardens, Hawkes or Inquisitors just feels weird. Like, one is the TRUE canon (for you) and the rest are a lie. xD I still mix them into headcanon like I did in Skyrim but yeah, lack of guilds etc kills it. But I understand WHY there are no guilds. |D Got a world to save and an organization/party to manage!
And yeah, the lore of DA kinda put me off at first. I played Inquisition first so everything they threw at me was overwhelming. xD I was like "sobsobidkwhatanyofthisissob" buuuut after I connected the dots etc I really love the lore. Since you played Origins it wouldnt be as jarring for you. xD Its just a lot to take in.
But it's really inspired me to work on my developments in terms of story and ocs. It's just amazing. I'm reading the books as well.

I, don't know if I did that quest! But you are absolutely right, pooooooor Keeps.
I think my Dalish Elf was a loner. He made friends though! XD Morrigan approached him but he was like: "NAH RIGHT we gotta, go kill an Archdemon later. :3" and then he died.
Fallout 4 does have SOMEWHAT cinematic conversations, but Bioware wins hands down still.
WUT. YOU PUTTIN' DOWN 'MURICAN- no you're right. I even agree that hearing British people is far less dull than Americans. Especially DULL Americans. Look at me. Putting down my own accents. YOU ALL SO FAAANCY.
Not a lie! Just different story tellers! LEGENDS- yeah I understand. If I played multiple characters in any Bioware game then it kind of is up to you what is going on.
I PROMISE THOUGH. I WILL PLAY INQUISITION. SOME DAY.

Mikaces In reply to Notsun [2016-05-18 01:53:45 +0000 UTC]
I thought you were a mage! xD
And pffft idk how you can go through a DA playthrough and NOT romance someone. xD That's like.. half the fun and what makes DA so unique!
Also, the Dalish origin is friggin depressing as it is. xD And you went and killed the Warden off?? DAMN, no wonder you weren't keen on revisiting.
If your Warden survives the universe is a much better place. |D If you import the history into DA2 and later Inquisition via Dragon Keep tapestry you get so many references to the past games, not only via codex notes but also some returning characters talking about the Warden.
Plus the Dalish origin has a lot going for it in terms of references. |D In the DLC Witch Hunt you get to return to the mirror from the very beginning of your journey. If your dalish was a female who hinted towards a romance with Tamlen it's even more heartbreaking. orz If you romanced Morrigan or performed the ritual with her tho you have a really cute ending to that DLC, which officially ends the Warden's story. Atleast with them as a playable character. |D
Through-out the later games people talk about the Warden and you even get to contact them in Inquisition. ;v; And whoever you romanced will go into what the years have been like with them after the blight since it's been like 10 years, as well as what they're up to at the moment.
Oh, and if you play Inquisition I do urge you to import a history where you did the ritual. |D It adds a character to the game. Just trust me on how amazing that is, since I did play the default Inquisition originally, it pales compare to the one with the references. xD
[fawnfawnswoonswoon]
I think we're all keen to have the warden return in the future games, because it's been hinted to for a while now.
You're tellin' me! xD I was so sad. The voices need work but the character customization is beautiful. [sobs]

I didn't do the guild in Oblivion! XD I played it but mostly only the story! My dude was just a sword guy!
And yeaaah you got a point... but I didn't MEAN to kill my Warden! I thought it just happened when you killed the Archdemon yourself! XD I wasn't killing the King of adorbs to do it! But I guess there is a way to let him/her live? And your character's loooove talks to you in Inquisition? Well THAT is neat!
Daaang, I wish I played the game on PC over PlayStation... I have the second game and plan on Inquisition on the PC. XD I guess I better play Origins over and then the second before then! Summer is here though!
So bootiful.... I can't wait to make pretty people.

Really?? :u I swore you had some literature done about the mages guild in Oblivion?? xD
Oh? So you saved Alistair? xD Phew. Good, because that guy just keeps dodging bullets.
Or arrows I guess?
But yeah, the ritual with Morrigan is a sure fire way to survive the archdemon. c: My Warden Rose is a woman, obviously, so she ended up asking Alistair to do it. He wasn't keen but hey, better than either one of them dying, and if I took him with me it would have been him. :u And I literally cannot leave him out of the party, I never go anywhere without Alistair, even if Im not romancing him. xD He's like.. your Warden bro basically.
The ritual saves them both. Tho I think Morrigan needs to come with you?? Story-wise it makes sense, if you make her a spirit healer as well she is very useful to bring along. |D
Oh and Im assuming you made Alistair king. xD I usually keep him a Warden. Come Inquisition he does make a cameo, tho Warden Alistair has a lot more screen time and becomes a temporary party member. ;v; Plus I preferred the idea of him and my Warden running off and being epic elsewhere rather than be cooped up in the castle. |D Being of noble origin my Warden could have become his Queen, but unlike most people I actually like Queen Anora. Stealing her throne never felt right. orz
So yeah "Screw nobility! We are epic Warden heroes!" |D
Yeeah, the Playstation version kinda flopped. If you end up playing the series on PC remember the DLCs. xD Awakening in particular. If you havent played it already I mean. Your Warden becomes Warden-Commander and shiz, it's friggin satisfying. ;v; So much story, I love it.

Oh. The, 'ritual' yeaaaaah........
And yeah. Alistair is my favorite, puppet wielding Warden. :3
I made him King. I NEED TO GO BACK AND PLAY! It was years ago and I didn't know there were so many ways to end the game. XD
Oh I have Origin's DLC, and some of the second one's I think. And i'm keeping an eye out for a deal on Inquisition. I promise!

It might have been another character?? Pfft I read it years ago, I'm not even sure anymore. xD Maybe you got an Oblivion mage?
Well, it is a ritual. |D It's not a cover up, honest. xD
If you ask questions about it Morrigan doesn't really hold back the info. Well, maybe a little, you can pry tho.
Alistair is best. |D I think his romance is like my most fave. He's just so dorky, I love it. I did have playthroughs where he's just a friend, nowhere near as adorable. And that's saying something, the guy oozes adorable-ness. :'I
I'm curious. |D When you made him King was he hardened or unhardened?? It stems from how you spoke to him after leaving his sister's house. Hardened Alistair makes best king buuut personally I prefer unhardened Alistair. He seems more dorky. But thus I rarely make him King, specially if romancing him. xD Dorky Wardens for life!
...That and I didn't want to take Anora's throne. You can marry her and Alistair but eh, if romancing that's not really what I want. xD
There are like...3 or 4?? |D Awakening --> The Golems of Amgarak --> Witch Hunt (in that order). But there's also Leliana's Song, which is pretty cool too. c: ...and Darkspawn Chronicles which I doubt I'll ever beat because I don't want to kill my party members orz

I mostly play as dudes but, I promise, if I get to a female i'll poke that blond hair into romance.
I THINK I made him King? Possibly hardened? He went somewhat less, cute when he had to put the crown on and stuff. I tried to be all: "BE WHO YOU ARE MAN" but really, it was years ago... XD
Yup. Yup got that one too. :3 Yuuuup? Maybe Witch Hunt? I think my PC is all like: "MEH THE DLC's AREN'T INSTALLED" and i'm like: "WHAAAA yes they are!" "NOOO WAY MAN" "YES WAY" "NO WAY-" Computers are evil. Sometimes..........

Pfft |D idk then.
I was plotting to have male characters going in buuuut I learned that female character in the series in general seem to have a bit more going for them. Be it better voice acting or options. :u Like, even in the different origins the temp companions are usually male, which opens up a lot of possibilities for past relationships other than just being friends. :u Its a bit more interesting.
Oh and the female armor isnt terrible like usually. |D I friggin adore most of the heavy armor, specially the dragon bone one. c:

IRONY.
pfft, it's been a running joke with me and my friends that I am married to Irony. Because it keeps stalking me. And once again it shows up unannounced. Wish it would call in advance... :I I could atleast clean up a bit. -D-
Pfft, I see you decided to play a dwarf?? |D A male dwarf judging from the anatomy. Gotta admit I'm a bit surprised at the bow. You an archer/rogue class?? |D I can't for the life of me use bows in Origins. In Inquisition tho? faaaack it's amazing. Because you're quick on your feet and can leap out of the way and just generally be a bad ass HNG archery in DA:I makes me happy. PS3 version especially since leaping out of the way is so oddly satisfying. xD
BACK ON POINT THO.
Which origin did you pick? c: Noble or Commoner??
I've done noble a couple of times for a test run and I think I prefer it over the Commoner. Specially since the male noble dwarf can... uh... idk, kinda spoilers. xD So I won't say unless I know you know first.

Male, Noble, Warrior Dwarf! A great beard to boot too! :3 For some reason, I really like the bows though... My Dalish was goods it it too, but I think my shorty will surprise people with his awesome bowage and surprise melee capabilities and CRAAZY Constitution!. I'm ambitious I know. Warrior because it said they can be good at range, and male because, eh, I kinda need a good reason to play females most of the time. XD Maybe a second run through if I decide to.

I filed for divorce like 6 times already. >:I
Oooh, did you sleep with one or two women during the origin story? .3. If so you have a surprise waiting for you in Orzammar~
And pfft, as far as Origins goes my first fave weapon was the two-handed sorts. |D Such power, tho I'll admit they are slow to wield and the lack of other attributes other than strength and constitution resulted in my character (the redhead) being KO'd a lot at the beginning of the game but later just annoyed me when she got knocked back. By the end and during the DLCs tho she became a major tank. In fact you fight two Drake bosses in Awakening and I recall my team being KO'd rather quick but Rose took them both down herself. |D
Tho as it stands now I have since replayed Rose as a character a few times but I am growing to love her as a city elf origin (my friend's character who shares headcanon is a human noble so making her a city elf just smooths things out, otherwise his story is radically different than in-game. xD) I grew to loooove duel blades. The speed of them just really makes them epic, plus the high dexterity required allows me to dodge attacks more. Not as much of a tank since attributes needed thinning out for dexterity but over all it feels more successful since the speed and rapid attacks take foes down quicker than before. |D
And you killed him?? D:
Because he's not the one responsible. |D The heir brother I mean. I played a bit of that origin and I always give him the benefit of a doubt but he dies anyway and you're framed for it. Honestly, thats better than having to kill him. |D Makes you look good compare to your traitorous twerp of a brother.

Weeeeell, thats kind of a waste. >D> If your dwarf would have slept with one or both women in the beginning then he would have had a son and there would have been a small chain of side quests dedicated to helping him reclaim his family name, seeing as you were exiled and that made him casteless. |D And if you get together with Morrigan that means the dwarf noble is capable of having 2 official children in canon. |D Which is kind of impressive since Wardens in general have a very small chance of producing children. Two wardens even less so and thus my fave pairing of Rose and Alistair may forever remain childless. orz Oh well. Ya know, unless things go as they hope in the next game. It can either end really well or really poorly. Poorly being them both dying because the game will throw me a scenario like in DA:I where you can only save one person and sacrifice the other. :'I
DA will do it, I cower in fear because of that... they are ruthless, man...
Aaaand you can import your Warden into Awakening or any DLC without actually completing the game. |D I didn't know the import was an option if the warden died since I never kill my warden off (my lil heart cant take it) but thats curious. .3.
He never attacked me?? :u He will only attack if you say things that will imply that you will kill him, self defense or not. My warden in that case always talked big around him, always showing that they will not take any shiz from them, heir or no. |D But still defended them as a sibling and just shrugged it off. So yeah, Im assuming you picked an option that triggered him to attack. :u in the deep roads Im guessing. Because for me he just ended up dead when I got there and just had me framed. Bhelen is an ass tho. :I Fack him. Even as a dwarf noble I would never support him as King. Harrowmont 5eva.
...tho I do read some neat things about Bhelen as king. Boarderline tyrant but revolutionary. I won't spoil things in regards to the origin if you end up supporting him for whatever reason buuut yeah. |D

"So you said Arl Eamon raised you?"
"Oh. Did I say that? I meant the dogs raised me. Giant, slobbering dogs from the Anderfels, a whole pack of them in fact!"
"Really? That must have been tough for them."
"Well, they were FLYING dogs, you see. Surprisingly strict parents, too, and devout Andrastians to boot."
"That is what they say about Anders."
"That and that they make a great deal of cheese. Funny, the dogs never mentioned cheese. As a matter of fact, if you said cheese around them, they'd start growling. Isn't that odd?? ...Or did I dream all of that? Funny the dreams you'll have when you sleep on the cold, hard ground, isn't it? = Are you having strange dreams?"
"Only the ones where we're making mad love in my tent..."
":I ...I...oh. I think I... completely lost my chain of thought... oh, there it is. :u; [proceeds to talk about his family]!
|D oooor...
"Yes. They all involve me strangling you."
"You would do violence? Upon me?? I am shocked and dismayed! The dogs would never threaten me like this, you know."
Alistair is just fun. |D
Idk but do you get the "lampposts in winter" talk if youre playing a dude?? I'll admit I only played a dude once and it was to do that dwarf noble quest with your son so I kinda disregarded talking to my party. I didnt get far with it tho, I really got annoyed by the character and deleted him. |D Dwarves arent my thing. DA:I maybe, in Origins they just look kinda awkward.

I like dem all! Though I thought that one was one of the cuter ones. Your style is so unique and fun to look at- I've said this before.
I don't think think I could have said that if I wanted. XD Maybe a female option? My sister, tried to romance Alistair but she didn't get far. Maybe I should convince her to try again and get that option.
Dwarves and archery. Maybe I just haven't played Inquisition yet so i'm not spoiled and don't think they're that bad.
Alistair is fun. JOLLY good fun. FUN- FUN for the whole family fun!
I'm forgetting how much fun all of them are though... I'm trying to think of someone to romance and i'm kind of leaning away from Morrigan, it's moving creepy fast. Wynn is too old.
Sorry misses. Great healer though.
Leliana maybe? Maybe? :3 Guess I need to keep going girlfriend hunting. Hehehe...

pffft
It would only be a female player option since Alistair is only for the female Wardens. |D
And pfft, Morrigan is a baaaaaeeee, she might come off as cold but shes a sweetheart. ;v; My friend is romancing her and loves it. And she's a returning character in DA:I, which makes it all the better. |D
And dude, I love Leliana but uh... she's kinda crazy. >D>;; dont let her kill people, man. She needs to be kept grounded. Both in Origins and DA:I... ESPECIALLY in DA:I... I cannot stress that enough, man. Do. Not. Let. Her. KILL...
And Wynne is not romancable anyway. xD Only Alistair, Morrigan, Leliana and Zevran.
And dude, theres Zevran too. |D He swings both ways~ and he's a fun romance.
Also, the male Warden can romance both Morrigan and Leliana at the same time. xD You'll have to pick one eventually buuuut the party banter b/w the two is priceless. xD

1. I agree. Underwear ain't that hard to add!
2. Let's ignore TESIII: Morrowind and agree that things get complicated down under.
3. I hope Bethesda keeps keeping the underwear. I don't mind that even when the Skyrim children are yelling: "You're naked!" when I still think that's clothed. Just indecently so!
But really! Souless looks boss and every time you draw any character, your style breathes them alive. I can see them talk or interact or be a general grump () in your amazing form! You're doing majestically and next time I'll be a bit easier! References and not crazy crazy (awesome awesome, thank you for it!) Armor! Does a chef outfit sound better?
