I think I completely screwed myself over with the background though, fffff. She's just chillin' in a field while the other two idiots on her team train.
Her hair is white + her eyes are pink because she has albinism. Her skin is actually much paler in her re-design.
She also takes medication and vitamins to maintain her health.

Don't feel bad about backrouds there are just somethings that are a pain to draw. (Ie, hands, backround... boobs <-- for me)
You know what would be cool, if she had like goggles or something for her eyes (she'd need something like that if she's albino) I don't know just a thought b/c albino's go blind early in life b/c they lack pigment in their eyes to protect hem from radiation and blaaahhhh.
I enjoy her hair.

Beautiful piece of work you have here, but not to sound like an asshole or anything...but if she has Albinism she has more than white hair and red eyes. She should have almost-white skin and a wide variety of other medical problems.

Ah, I take no offense. I thoroughly researched it, but as "realistic" as I tried to make her, I don't want to completely make her incapable of being a kunoichi 
She does take several medications however, and wears protective gear when outside to protect her skin, and I will be sure to draw that out in a doujinshi once I start it. Start it being the key phrase. OTL"

I'm just making sure you did your research C: I have a number of Naruto OCs (an entire clan, actually |D'' ) that have Albinism and various other genetic disorders, put a good amount of research into it, and I'm nit-picky about others that do the same. This is where I dumped the majority of my genetics unit from my Honors Biology class last year and also extra research I did on my own time. Shiroko Idenbyou is the closest to "main" OC I have that suffers from Albinism.
I just saw the picture in the inbox and I check everything that goes through to make sure it's not traced or stolen (I'm a Co-Founder so I have to approve everything that gets submitted), and I usually read descriptions in checking, and looking at the picture I didn't think he skin looked pale enough

Yes, I try to put as much research as I possibly can into my characters. Frankly, I think making them more realistic makes them easier to draw and connect with. But then again, when it comes to diseases, I try to stretch them as much as I can to fit the "universe" they come from. I also figured the Naruto-world may have some sort of super medication that could help a few diseases that the "regular" world doesn't, which is why I have Saya taking hardcore vitamins and stuff.
But thank you for the comment! I think I will do a bit more research on the condition and see if I can tweak her a bit without losing too much of her original design.

I prefer writing what I want to write (I tried writing a fan-fiction staying as close to the canon storyline as I could. I started out pretty strong but I eventually got farther away from the canon storyline to the point where I broke off of it all together so I could write the story the way I wanted and end it despite what Kishimoto does - and I'm glad I decided to do that, frankly) so I don't do much tweaking when it comes to diseases and thinks of the like and I'm rather strict when it comes to the subject of genetics. Maybe because it was my favorite unit in Honors Biology and I loved that class and that teacher (and I'm still close to that teacher....god I miss that woman) but It's a touchy subject with me and one of my favorite things to play around with. But because I prefer writing over typical manga things I usually stay closer to real-world scenarios. Damn I ramble a lot...
Usually those with Albinism suffer from eye problems, but that's not much of an issue - contacts! Duh! -shot-

I guess since I'm an art major (and a similar situation to yours--it was always my favorite class, and I always had the best teachers who influenced me more than anyone, ever), I'm more responsive to the artistic cohesion of a character. xD I guess. I hope that didn't sound too snobbish.

I'm more of a literature person myself but something draws me to, not only literature, but art in general (paintings, drawings, architecture, music, writing... everything) so I get around artistic communities quite a bit
Haha, whichever works for you. I know people who could have contacts but don't because they get a little iffy about touching their eyeballs. I have contacts myself but they like to bug me so I have a pair of glasses on the side to use.

Ah, that's very true. I often drew little side sketches for stories I wrote in high school, so much to the point where my teachers would pretty much expect a drawing stapled to the back of a paper. XD
Same here. I've had contacts for about 6 years now, so I guess they don't bother me too bad. I still have glasses though. It sucks when you're tired though, and they get all sticky on your eyes. D: I wear circle lenses too; they're cute but some of them are a bit bigger than normal contacts so they can get uncomfortable. I totally recommend them though. :]

I love including drawings (or sometimes photographs) with creative writing assignments I do in literature class
I've had contacts for.....three years, now. I just like wearing normal contacts that I'm able to sleep in, because I get too busy/sleepy/lazy to take them out and put them back in in the morning
It's okay. Once, in my first period math class, we went from Statistics to teenage pregnancy to how my math teacher found out her eldest daughter is a lesbian.

Mine are the kind where I can sleep with them in for a week before I have to take them out and clean them. I can also wear them for 30 days total before I have to get a new pair, but they last a lot longer than that.
