Description
The human glanced at his accompaniment accross the hastily assembled bonfire, from within which the flames danced and spat over logs and dry grass, and cast flickering orange shadows accross the pair. Beyond the reach of the fire's illumination, the landscape carried on, climbing sharply in front of the pair, but dropping off even moreso just behind them, and revealing a jagged horizon of mountains, lakes, and in the distance, too far to see at night as anything other than a slightly larger black area, the waters of the sea. Above that, the stars gazed back down at them, unbothered by the feasting of the individuals basking in their pin-prick glow, starting to emerge from the sunset like a butterfly it's cocoon. At this altitude the ridge should have been windy, but for once, the air was still, the wind was quiet, and all felt right with the world.

The human raised an eyebrow at the dragon, posing the question without making a sound. The dragon nodded and flashed his teeth, happy with the meal he'd been given. It wasn't much, but it was tasty, hot, and was just what was needed after a day of intense workout. Paraphernalia of the day's efforts were neatly strewn around them; from rocks Latios had liked the look of and insisted carrying (for seemingly no reason), to the ever present bow and arrows the human had cast off himself before sitting down in enjoyment of the lack of danger.

The human smirked slightly at the sight of the eon struggling with the stick propped between his paws. He wasn't sure if the dragon was meant to eat marshmallows, but Latios seemed just as amused to watch his sugary treat slowly turn into a drippy goey mess as he would have done eating it, so he let it slide for the while.

Latios sunk lower as he continued to watch his food cook. Everything was just how it should be. No noise. No schemes. No planning. No orders. Just them and the infinste boundaries of nature. Just as if it were intended to be.
