Description
Having mostly melted the majority of his marshmallows, Latios started to tire of eating, and resigned himself to a slumber alongside the radiating embers of the campfire. With his wings swept down alonside his torso, and neck arced to get the most from the fire, he looked very comfortable with the situation; a comfort the human decided he wanted a piece of too.Which was how the two meter long legendary fire breathing dragon ended up being a backrest for a random common man as he grubbily finished off the remainder of the calorie cubes over the fireplace.
Save for the crackle of the fire and the large, steady breaths of the eon, the scene was devoid of noise. The human
watched above as the sky grew darker and the stars revealed themselves, slivers of light from hundreds of millions of miles away, shimmering randomly in the atmospheric distortion. Each star was a lifeline in its own right; there was no moon tonight, yet away from the fire, the cumulative light from each and every pixel of the remotest of light illuminated the scene below.
The smokey smell of the fire permiated the human's nostrils, reminding him of the moments he'd shared out here before, of great gains, journeys, losses, memories... The nearest thing to a house was far beyond even a week's walk, yet the human had never felt so at home than he did at this moment. He shuffled his back to get a better sitting angle, which prompted a shallow grunt from behind him. By way of apology, the man started to absent mindedly run his hand over the eon's soft feather down, starting at the ears, and working his palm down to about a quarter of the way down the neck. The motion elicited a sweet coo from beast, and the hunter smiled.
For the moment, for just this moment, life froze in it's haphazard perfection.

Hey SD95, I'd like to ask for permission to use a part of this image for a custom debit card design. Asking publicly so there's evidence of your permission (should you allow it) since, to use the image, I have to have permission from you. Thanks!

SD95, once again proving that the only thing better than a commission for a picture from Wern, is a commission of TWO pictures from Wern.
Exquisite. Marvelous. Astounding. These are all words I used last time and yet somehow they still don't capture quite how I rate these pieces. YES EVEN THE WHERE THE MARSHMALLOW WAS ON FIRE. AND THEN MY HAIR. AND THEN THE TENT. AND THEN THE MOUNTAIN. EVERYTHING WAS ON FIRE. If you wouldn't mind linking to that too, I'd like it, just for the lolz (if you still have it, if not, do not bother).
This works really well as a panorama, too. I honestly didn't really have a solid idea in my head of how it'd work in that format, but I guess it turns out that the answer to that question is that it works exceedingly well. I had my doubts as to how the human would have come out, but again, we've found out the answer is 'PERFECTLY'. The skin tone fits the surroundings well, the hands are great, the pose is natural and the - SD95 specialty - emotion is of course spot on. As for that dragon, well. LOOK HOW HUGGABLE THAT CUDDLY BLUE BLOB IS! LOOK HOW WELL HE FUNCTIONS AS A BACK-PILLOW!
Superlative work, Wern... Wow.
If anyone is hesitating our has doubts about commissioning this man, you can stop doubting now. Just, throw your money at him until he accepts. And then keep throwing it. Never stop commissioning. Ever.
Okay perhaps 'SD95 Commissions' should be considered a new class-A drug, because it's cool, each hit leaves me feeling over the moon with joy, I'm addicted and cannot stop, and it will bankrupt me sooner or later

This two part little story is absolutely cute as my heart melted just like those marshmallows did! <3
The lighting is great and I like how comfortable and content the latios is.
