Description
This was originally a concept exercise to test out whether adapting RWBY into a comic was possible. I then just decided to just clean it to be a stand alone because I think it looks kinda cool. Enjoy.Original character design belongs to Rooster Teeth and Monty Oum

Funny you should say that, because that was my original idea. I the plan was to adapt the red trailer into comic format for kicks, I even full concepts and studies of the characters/props. But I never got to storyboards and drafting.

That perspective is amazing. O.O I love the overlapping of the weapon over the first panel (second? I don't know if this is right to left or not), and the minimal colors here add such a nice touch to this. And how you drew Crescent Rose at that angle is really beyond me. Wonderful job, my friend!

Awesome. I am a big fan of drawings that have limited uses of color and this is a great representation of the genre. Plus, its RWBY, so it is two times the cool.

I'm glad that you double-y approve of my work. I've been meaning to practice working with solid black render a-la western comic style so I thought that this would be a fitting opportunity.

This overall composition is just great, GREAT. I can never understand how to draw extreme perspectives and somehow you managed to do that, while simultaneously making a wonderful and accurate Crescent Rose in it's sniper-rifle formation. If you are any good at robotic designs, please let me know. I will seriously consider commissioning you!

Perspective is one of the more difficult theories to get right. Don't worry about messing up, you should have seen some of my MANY failed attempts at extreme perspectives (momentarily rocks in the corner of room in embarrassment). My tip is to always remember where the vanishing point is and to always keep your ruler ready. Trust me, the ruler is your best friend when working with perspective.
OH! And make work with deliberate intention of messing up. Can't level up without exp! So instead of trying to make pieces that you'd be afraid to mess up with bad perspective, practice on pieces where you actively want to get it wrong and learn from them.

Thanks! I was aiming for something that allowed me to indulge in my typical 'max out quality level' m.o when creating work, whilst maintaining the solid graphical look that RWBY is known for.
