Description
In the south of Ticinza there is a special place: the Rodlea Region. A long natural rock dam (about 20 km long) separates a vast lake and forms the Lower Ronte Lake and the Upper Ronte Lake (Lago Ronte Inferiore and Lago Ronte Superiore on the map). The difference in altitude between the two lakes is about 200 metres, due to the height of the dam. The water from the Upper Ronte Lake flows into the Lover Ronte Lake throught an impressive waterfall. A village is located on a promontory on the natural dam and takes the name Rodlea from this place.
