Gameplay concept of The House of the Splatted (fav.me/ddyrqrh ), a Splatoon crossover of Sega's light gun zombie (or creature) shooter The House of the Dead.

GAME INSTRUCTIONS:
* SHOOT THE ATTACKING CREATURES.
* AIM OUTSIDE OF THE SCREEN THEN PULL THE TRIGGER TO RELOAD... NOW THE INKTANK IS FILLED.
* TAKING DAMAGE WILL DECREASE YOUR LIVES BY ONE.
* THE MISSION IS A FAILURE WHEN ALL LIVES ARE LOST.
* LIVES ARE LOST WHEN A HOSTAGE IS SHOT.

TRIVIA:
- This gameplay concept is based on Sega's The House of the Dead.
- This artwork was made using Gmod and edited using Photoshop.
- As shown in the link in the description, Player 1/P1 (Red) is the role of my inksona while Player 2/P2 (Blue) is the role of Allaine.
- The drops of colored ink represents ammo, only up to 6 shots. In Splatoon logic, the inktank can be depleted in more than just 6 shots.
- The colored flames beside P1 and P2 represents lives, the players start with 3 and at max capacity is 5. Whenever they get hurt, a life disappears to a puff of smoke. Lives are replenished by saving Hostages or shooting Health Packs hidden inside breakable objects such as crates. Excessive lives earned will instead award bonus points.
- P2 (Allaine) has taken damage as he missed a shot. Notice the puff of smoke on one of the lives of P2 as well as the axe slash on the right side.
- The text in the middle "Insert Credits" is added to make it look like an arcade game.
- Whenever a creature is killed, a puddle of green ink bled beneath them before dissolving. In THoTD's options, you can change the blood color.
