Description This pic is a commision for a good friend on another forum.
He wanted a pic of his two favorite characters; Lizard Man and Stinkor.
I love Lizard Man so I had a great time drawing this one.
I gave good ol' Liz a bulkier body. He has been taking the juice lately. He wants to make it in MOTUC.

Lizard Man has an importan message to deliver to Randor, he most cross through the swamps while Stinkor tries to prevent the message from getting into the King's hands.

Neato! Well done! I like Lizard Man! I remembered there was another brown Lizard Man. My brother had this idea that the brown one was captured by Skelator and transformed into Saurod for the live action film.

I gotta say I also love your swamp backgrounds, I always find them to be a lot of fun to experiment with. Just curious, if you ever do commissions how much would you charge?

I appreciate that man. Thank you.
I've done commisions in the past but everytime I do them I end up trading art for toys. LOL
Gotta love the hobby.

Stinkor was always fun in the cartoon. I have to say I really like the swamp setting and the poses. Lizard Man looks disgusted by Stinkor.

I actually loved the new MOTU cartoon Cartoon Network had for a while. I liked the more serious reimagining of the whole concept. Plus Skeletor's origin was awesome.

Oh yeah the cartoon was awesome. It didn't deserve to be cancelled.
The third season was going to be amazing.

Yeah I still don't understand why that happened. From what I heard the series had really good ratings and the toyline to it was kicking ass.

The problem with the Toyline was the variants. Mattel had put out way too many He-Man and Skeletor variants that became peg warmers and that killed the line.

I don't think the only problem was the variants but for me the main problem was the almost impossible to find figures! Mattel tried to blame kids for not supporting the line but when you make a toyline and you want to please a kid you have to think like a kid. When we grew up we never had crap trying to find He-Man figures. If you wanted Whiplash for your birthday than you had Whiplash. The 200X line made finding some figures nearly impossible. If a girl saw the cartoon it's obvious she may identify with teela so what happened if she wanted one? She was screwed! Cause most folks are not going to hunt every possible store to see if they find one or go to a convention and get stiffed! From the very start I knew the collection would go to hell when I couldn't find Merman anywhere. I have all the 200X figures exept for some variants and Snake-Armor He-Man and I have to tell you it was hell getting them all. Me and my wife basically made a road trip to get the Snakemen. Merman,Cobra Khan,Teela and the Snakemen were just some of the figures I had an awfull time getting!

Oh God, I remember some of those now. I hate when toylines do that and they think that because they recolored a main character and give him some weird accessories it justifies clogging the shelves with it.

This is why I used to hate some of the old toy lines. You'd get 50 varient Batmans or Spider-Mans geared up to do God knows what and maybe a villain or two and those would always be sold out unless they were lame.

There's something to be said for how Hasbro and Kenner used to do things. In every GI Joe release you'd get like a dozen or more characters and maybe three would be revamps of a classic character and most times they came with a new vehicle or something extra that justified the revamp not to mention figures that were troop builders.

The same with the old M.A.S.K. figures and vehicles. Matt Trakker was the main hero and whenever he was given a new uniform and helmet he'd be partnered with another character and come with a new vehicle.

Thanks man! I saw him too. Unfortunately the list had him there but ended up being characters the 4H wished to do. I hope someday good 'ol Lizardman can make it in MOTUC.
