Here are a bunch of behind the scenes thumbnails to some recent pieces and ones that didn't make the cut. I use to spend a lot more time doing detailed thumbs but I've cut it down recently and even done some work with no layouts (not recommended!). I think the best way to work is small and with a soft pencil to get as much energy and freedom as possible. Sometimes I then print out a large copy of the thumbnail and trace it but that's only if I'm having an off day and I'm having trouble capturing the sketch.Related content

Nice body anatomy you got there bro. I sense some Madureira in your work, to some degree. Or am I wrong?

Madure....who?! haha, just kidding, I've been learning from his work since about 1994 so yes he'd definitely the biggest influence on my art. I ant to start playing around with it more but it's so ingrained in me that I actually try not to draw like him and it still comes out that way :/
