The Lowell Heavy Industries Artic Cat 700 is a military grade vehicle that has been cross-marketed to the general public. Due to this, the Artic Cat has become a very popular cold-weather vehicle. It is capable of transporting up to 20 people and their gear. The Cat only requires 2 to operate due to a drive-by-wire system. The base model has a 1380hp bio-diesel engine that is backed up by four heavy electric motors( located in the tread hubs), also the 700 is equipped with an APU (auxiliary power unit),this is so the transporter can conserve fuel when it is idle .
