Description The Carrtech Raptor 3x3 Type R ( yeah, it's based on the T-Rex), is the latest in ATV technology. The Raptor appears in The Calling (and several other upcoming books). The Raptor is a "green" vehicle , the power plant is a Carrtech 1400cc liquid/air cooled 400hp electric motor(it requires 4 J-type fuel cells). The Raptor also has two additional drive unit located within the hubs and rim area of the forward wheels, this allows the Raptor to apply power to all three wheels, in effect making it an all-wheel drive ATV . These units draw power from the main power plant, but can run independent if needed. The Raptor is a two person ATV and has a cargo rating of 600lbs. (this is in addition to the
operators weight).

a 1400cc electric motor? i though electric motors were rated by voltage not size.

anyway cool idea. sounds fun to drive. and awesome detailing

mikecharles In reply to ScottaHemi [2007-05-17 04:26:15 +0000 UTC]

actually i should have said an electic powered motor. it's a monified 1400cc engine that draws its power from batteries instead of fossil fuels. and thanx.

Interesting. *studies it close* Some minor perspective errors. Small vehicle!

I think that the direction you're heading with your designs these days is far too busy for my liking (and for believability). Meaning that there are far, far too many shapes and details to soak up. This one in particular isn't as busy as the mechs

Never keep designing, but I'd love to see more variation (and my personal wish for less busy-designs)

you know i would like to see more that 40k in ur gallery, let's see something original . i am a designer so i will keep designing. i know about the errors that's is why it is a concept not a final design. this design is a believiable design sense it is based on the T-Rex an actual vehicle. it seems to me u like simple designs ,well i don't do simple that is why i put the level of detail i do into my work.i know i can't please everyone so i don't try too. and thanx for the comment.

:S I'm sorry but someone just highlighted something weird I wrote: "Never keep designing" - of course I meant to say "never stop designing". My apologies.

Cool! I have a question, what do you mean by a "green" vehicle? I really love how you threw all the detail into it! It only has three wheels? Sweet! Great work Mike!
