Description
I thought I posted this critter already but I overlooked him. If you notice, he has killed Nutter: [link]The full name is the Finned Awakashi, a large predatory insect. It's in a rearing up pose "obviously it wouldn't sit like that on just a few legs" It's a blind creature that uses extra sensory organs glowing on the side of the body to sense rhythmic vibrations in the air and from any surface texture it's touching. It's impossible to hide from this creature because even if suspended in air without trying to move, you're always constantly sending out an impulse of vibration, through breathing, through your heart beat..
This is why birds are an easy target. The rhythmic beating of their wings as they fly by, with the Awakashi waiting patiently make them easy to hone in on. With a quick motion, they're snatched by the longer antenna-like pincher's located at the frontal lobe of the Awakashi.

It is safe to say that those sensory organs are a major weak point. But they seem to have a multitude of them. Do they regenerate?

Why'd it kill Fatty? Is this the fate of all fools?
Or did it have a taste for butterfat? :/

Aaw, poor little Nutter .
Awesome design on Awakashi though, I like the mouth and the fact that it has no eyes.

Thanks
I figured actual teeth with a gum line on an insect could be interesting, giving it both an invertebrate and vertebrate make up. If it were to have an actual skull "inside" under the skin as well as the armour plated exoskeleton toward the rear.

Thanks, if you think about insects, fish and birds.. there are already millions of possibilities found in nature.. Practically up to 1 billion if you count existing, extinct and "new, yet undiscovered species" now what could you do if "you" were to take bits and pieces of each and multiply that by 1000.. and that's only the tip of the ice berg when it comes to the worlds wild life.
That's why designing creatures is practically endless with possibilities.
