Hi everybody! I figured that I'd get another Face Mask sheet done, and at random, I wanted do everyone's favorite Scottish grump, Duncan. Duncan's easily one of the best characters in the Thomas franchise, as compared to the likes Gordon, James, Cranky, Daisy, etc., Duncan is the king of consistency in this franchise, even when the show was at it's worst, he was easily one of the best parts of it. But aside from his personality of being a grumpy, short-tempered, whiny idiot, even his face masks are consistent to, and were quite easy to do. I was gonna do 15, but I couldn't think of another expression to give, so in my HC, he's got 14 face masks. But regardless though, I'm happy with them, and they easily capture Duncan's grouchy, cynical, and excitable nature, but also his good-hearted, remorseful and loyal side to, as that's Duncan in a nutshell, eh? He had some of the best facial expressions and I will say this right now, the narrow gauge engine's faces are the small scale models, because as difficult as they were back then, they were the best looking of the characters, so that's what I used, as well as for the other Skarloey engines to.

My personal favorites are 2 & 3, because it wouldn't be Duncan if he was angry, as that's his key personality. But 5 and especially 6 are my absolute favorites along with the angry ones, as I love those moments were Duncan's horrified at what kind of trouble he's gotten himself into. The last 4 were created by me. Face 11 is a nervous grin, which is what any idiotic rebel would have after they've caused trouble and nervous when they're about to get scolded. Face 12 is based off the large scale model when Duncan is remorseful, and we never got any face closed for Duncan's small scale, so I made 2, the 13th with his eyes shut horrified when he's gonna crash, and 14 is obviously his sleeping face. I'm really happy with these so far, as they capture our favorite plain-speaking, blunt idiot in a nutshell, and stay tuned for S4, as we'll see more of Duncan and him getting into more mischief.
