commish for chrisnever played dragon age, though i've always been meaning to. the main problem is i've been spoiled by mass effect, DA's KOTOR-style gameplay seems awfully slow. weird because KOTOR and its sequels are some of my most favorite games. i think i'll play it eventually.
its a little frustrating looking for a definitive look and costume for these characters. oh don't get me wrong, it's cool for the game, but not so much when you want to draw them. so apologies to those who love 1:1 detail.

DA2 is more quick in battle styling and cleaner in communication wheels. The story is not as good to some, but the first one is kinda simple storywise. "Big bad, must kill." (Again, no offense to those who love the plot over characters)

All gamers expect it, and it's not been so.
She has a sharp tongue, is very cynical and complains about anything, especially about the lesbian relationships of the main character (overall with the redheaded girl of your drawing)
However, we players have always been very happy to see the "exposed skin" of Morrigan, lol.

gotcha. it helps they were both fun to draw. and researching costumes was a blast. my only frustration was finding a default signature costume. google images had thousands of pictures and every one was a little bit different from the other. leilana moreso than morrigan.

as for the dialogue, its been so long i've forgotten. mostly its them just saying some bitchy banter. ;D
i didn't bother writing it since i doubt people would bother reading it. haha!

No worries! To be honest, I could have sworn it was the redhead (I haven't played the game in FOREVER, so pardon me for forgetting the name) making a pass at Morrigan, and Morrigan questioning what she was doing by their expressions and pose XD

Definitive costumes or not, I think you did a fine job with Morrigan and Leliana. I had a lot of fun with these two characters in game.

That's freaking fantastic. Now I really hope that you'll pick up DA2 and draw some of the ladies from that game! If you enjoyed ME, DA2 should appeal to you a lot more than DA

concept design-wise DA is as good as, if not better, than ME. certainly, characters in DA are more diverse in appearance.
as for drawing people from origins, well it sounds interesting and i hope i get a commish for them soon. otherwise, i got lots to draw as it is...

I would probably request a DA2 commission, not so much interested in DAO. I think you already got the top 2 female characters in Origins. In DA2, it'd probably be F!Hawke/Isabela/Merrill.

yeah, it was hard as heck to find one definitive costume for her! having never played the game, i didn't know what her "base" look was, or what configuration was the most popular. i just had to do an amalgamation of 2 or 3 different costumes (and some stuff i made up).
morgana was way easier to do.
i love bioware, but the game looks way slower than mass effect (from all the videos i watched). i dunno, it just didn't grab me. i loved their older games (KOTOR 1 and 2, jade empire) but i think i just got so used to mass effect's more advanced, faster game play.
