commish for chrisnever played dragon age, though i've always been meaning to. the main problem is i've been spoiled by mass effect, DA's KOTOR-style gameplay seems awfully slow. weird because KOTOR and its sequels are some of my most favorite games. i think i'll play it eventually.
its a little frustrating looking for a definitive look and costume for these characters. oh don't get me wrong, it's cool for the game, but not so much when you want to draw them. so apologies to those who love 1:1 detail.

haha! actually the poses were inspired by an actual photograph, and the girls in in were on the slender side. i should have made at least one of them curvier.

You should give the demo for DAII a try if it's the speed of the attacks that bother you. I found even with the mages and TH Warriors they sped up the attacks into something bloody epic.

yep! i just downloaded the demo a few days ago. i'm just finishing AC:brotherhood before trying it out. (i hate playing more than one game at a time.). what also turned me off was the graphics. it wasn't as pretty or detailed as ME. or it seemed that way from the video i've seen.

The graphics in DA: O were better on the PC than the console versions. But they are better in DAII on at least the PC and XBOX versions (I've played both demos) than the first one. But I will admit ME is a verrrry nicely detailed game.

It's a fantastic story, and I was never one to be bothered too much when it came to graphics. Sure, they could've been better, but it's not something I cared a whole lot about.
Story always mattered to me more than that. Probably because I do a lot of writing myself.

I think Origins is more like a Baldur's Gate than KOTOR, since you can play top down view for tactical combat. Although your character in Origins has no voice for conversations which is a major bummer :/.

see, i'm not a baldur's gate kind of guy either. that type of game just passed me by. my then PC couldn't handle the requirements when BG was popular. although i agree that non-speaking main characters are getting old.
