Description The first part of my tryptych. Acrylics, Inks and Biro. The phot could be better - some detail has been lost but I will perhaps try again at some point. A lot of different references from science fiction, mythology, religion and choldhood memories. The tryptycyh takes the idea that time and the multiverse are cyclic, that the multiverse continually destroys and reinvents itself, each time slightly different. I first read this idea in 'the fall of chronopolis' by Barrington J Bayley. However the picture has little real relation to this and explores my own themes. Eventually the story will be completed when I paint and add 'The Timeless Ocean' and 'Time Regenerated'.

It's strange that I used to paint like this, then when I returned to art it was with a much more abstract and instant style. This has proved to me I can still do the detail, though it tested my patience. I have another couple of these on the way, including one which might fit into the spirals concept. Once I've finished my current stress set i intend to get back to them.

Thanks. I used to do a lot of work like this, then totally changed my style. Completing this has proved to me I still have the ability and patience to do something this complex.

great artpiece my friend...I like the details on the clock. the battle in chess board and the line of people or spirits...I can see a lot of loneliness, isolation and humans emotions captured here...very well and with much meaning and reading!....

Thank you my friend. I thought you would appreciate what I was doing. Some of these themes have been bubbling around for some time and I did make an earlier effort at the trilogy of pictures. However, it was cluttered with irrelevance and I got bored with it. I think I have finally got to the stage where things have started to make sense to me and I feel able to complete the work. I think this first picture very much represents my frustration with humanity's inability to achieve what it is capable of - there is so much individual talent which is sacrificed to the crazed desires of a small number of people. However, as the other 2 pictures will show I am not totally pesimistic and do hold out some hope. I suspect it will be end of September before the final one is complete - I start the second on this weekend.

well done and I can't wait to see the other 2 artpieces...I'm sure that will be filled with lot of meaning as this...I also think that there is always a hope for humanity and I love the Space details and science fiction that you handle in your art...amazing my friend

Thanks Jo. I appreciate that you cane feel some of what I am doing in his work. In many ways I really love the human race, but it also frustrates me that it is so self destructive. At one level the painting is part of a story which I hope will make sense once I have completed the other 2. On another level it is an attempt to make sense of my feelings about humanity and it's future. My ending will hold out some optimism.
