Description This is a work in progress of a 3D lucario, for future use possibly on battle scenarios, etc... Maybe I'll require someone to apply textures to it, since it's very hard with the program I am using, Milkshape3D. If anyone knows of an easy to use 3D program that lets me import DXF files, lemme know

UPDATE: Model Finished, still lacks textures

in my experience blender was great! its a good program and if your having a lot of troubles i recommend trying it. its hard to learn but once you get it there is nothing you can't do! also its really hard to get good textures... duh so you might just want to rip it from another model. also it looks great and i cannot wait to see it done!
also is there a download?

Most reciently I downloaded a Lucario model from a 3d ripping site. It does contain textures so if you want to use those, heres the link [link] (im not sure if theyll work for your model, buts its the best i could do )

P.s. its an .rar file and if it does the same thing it did to me, the model might not work, but the textures are fine.

Don't know how many comments I posted, because the website seems to be a bit screwed up. Sorry if I look like I'm flooding.

I am trying to create a Lucario myself, however, it is my first CGI model. I would GREATLY appreciate it if you would upload another picture, this one showing the "little white lines" in between the shapes and sides. I'm having a bit of trouble with it.

Giving, I don't plan to copy yours, but I would like some idea of how it looks.

Sorry if I sound a bit demanding.

Is there any version in which you have the borders of the individual shapes turned on? I'm trying to make one myself and it's my first CGI model. I plan to build it from the ground up, so I won't be copying yours, but I WOULD like to have an idea of the general shapes. I would greatly appreciate it.

hey, guy. I am pretty good with blender and photoshop. I can uv map him (if you've not yet done so), and do a quick texture if i can play with the fella. if u want, I might be able to rig him up for easy animation in Daz studio (well, poser. i don't like daz studio. but the format's the same anyway)

I found this trying to see if anyone else had modeled Lucario, or if mine was still alone.

Did you ever progress with the Textures on this model? Because if you’re still having the same problem the program I use, blender3D (blender.org), might be the solution. The DXF format is the second one on the list of import types. And texturing is rather easy in Blender. I could help you with the texture if you still what to finish this.

damn bro...this is really good! If i knew how to use 3D programs i've could have helped u. but sadly i don't. anyway, it's still good. maybe if u get the 3D program to it's full potential, maybe u can make a training battle scenario between u, me & Darulio training in combat practice for that mission on thta nuclear warhead. Also, i'm wondering when i'll have my Inner Lucario photoshopped & see his I.D. for the RP story posted on dA cause i've been waiting for a long time to see my Inner Lucario photoshopped & on dA. if u forgot my Lucario's colors, from a regulaar, the fur is white while everything else is black, but the marks have a silver outline. And the eyes are emerald white along with the claws & toe nails being diamond white.

Very nice. It's looking much better than the other 3Ds I saw in Second-life screenshots.

Only 3D prog I know of is blender,
but well, that thing is really A'RD to use.

Still haven't figured how to use it yet,

The AutoCAD DXF format presents certain limitations, including many format incompatibilities between versions, a tendency to unweld polys, and no UV-mapping. You'd probably be better off saving to Wavefront OBJ or 3DS, unless whatever else you're using absolutely requires DXF.

MilkShape's UV-editor is admittedly somewhat bare-bones. Have you considered investing in Brad Bolthouse's Ultimate Unwrap 3D utility?

Nice work on the Lucario model, so far. It appears to be coming together nicely, and looks like a close match to the Brawl version.

close to brawl's version, really 0.0? wow.. that means a lot to me. Well, I only seem to hang good with milkshape, and have LOADS of export options, so one ought to do the job right?

Yes, really. Someone clever managed to extract the Lucario mesh from the original Brawl files, so I have it here on my computer for comparison. The proportions are very close, though I think the ears could be a bit thicker. You must be working from some good reference images.

It's one of MilkShape's better features --- plugin support for dozens of formats.

Just out of curiousity, how do you plan to use this? Valve's Source engine, Ogre, or some other game engine?

just wondering do you still have this 3d model? if so i was planing to use it for some Gmod fun!
also i can't find any good 3d models of lucario that aren't in a format like .00mdl0 (wtf does it mean?)
if you have it it would help me so much!

oh, and I'm working on one picture only, from front view, and it ain't brawl's lucario. U just am so used to see lucario I could do with eyes closed XD

uhm, I am not intending on doing a game with it, for now, just the 3D, nd I'll see later. You haev the brawl 3D mesh?? Oh!! Pleaze, I want it!! Could you tell me where to download, or send me to migueloliveira007@hotmail.com

You'll find everything here, in a thread at the Facepunch forums:

[link]

MilkShape can open the FBX version of the model well enough, though the importer seems to mess up the material groups. You'd probably have better luck with the SMD version.
