I don't have much to show, but, I want to give a lil gift as a 'thank you' for those who reported the art thief in Newgrounds...It's not really useful, but, I just hope i'm able to show some things for people to learn... It's recommended to know how to use Photoshop and AfterEffects first before looking at it...
I've also added an animated gif showing how a scene was prepared element by element... (Click 'Download'... 6mb tho)

'Kay, i tried counting and the total frames are approx 964... (that excludes the frames for non-animating elements)

Due to sudden changes DA implemented regarding GIF files with preview image, I decided to remove the gif to make the tut show up again

How much did AfterEffects cost you? I'm a newb when it somes to all this and i would like to get a tablet (which comes with Phtoshop) but idk how much AfterEffects would cost me. And i rly rly need to know! so please respond!!!!!

It's cool to know how you did it too. I've been wanting to try to do some sort of short animation but I have a feeling I won't be able to (too lazy to) finish(start) it ><

that's a very interesting way of using after effects and photoshop. you animated similarly to 2D animators.
we were taught to organize as such:
show
-> sequence
--> scene
---> element (fx/char/ol or ul)
----> titled element (char01/fx05/ul03)
-----> frames
i really admire your work, and patience to sit through such an arduous task.
i'm looking to build my portfolio a bit more, and was wondering.. when choosing the animation content and the song, did you research into the translated meaning, or did you just come up with the storyline based on the tone of the music?
