Looks like a detailed version of Ringworld, or the Halo Ring from Halo: CE Anniversary,
but with a Dyson sphere in the mid. Good stuff!

good reference. i was thinking the sphere creates the magnetic field to protect it. not terribly efficient though huh. i want to keep exploring the idea. thanks again
