I have to say that I'm using a lot of 3d stuff to augment my BGs. It's really helpful for setting a stage, that's consistent no matter where you turn the camera. The downside is that sometimes they are overly complicated.

Don't worry, anything you draw I get. Do you mind elaborating a little on the 3D stuff you use? I've looked into Google Sketchup to do the same, but so far I've had limited results.

I use Poser a lot. The big dif between Poser and Sketchup is that in Poser you can manipulate the figures. They have gotten pretty amazing and I can't even imagine how realistic the next generation will be.
