For this piece, I layer tones in pencil. Light to dark. Sometimes I use my fingers or blending stumps to push the graphite around. I use a kneaded eraser to pull back values and keep the art clean.

Love it. I usualy have the problem of making characters with mustaches and beards look anything but young. I like it how he looks so dashing and young with them. Great job!

Love the pencil work and attention to details on Ollie himself without the hood.
Use of the pencils with the shading is really nice and smooth.

Wow!!! I'm really pleased of the fact that the Green Arrow made it out of the 70s and is till this day a go to character in the DC arsenal. I have enjoyed the vampire variants you did for the Marvel books. Now back to this image... I have to say great job on the emerald archer! the shading is great and you captured Ollie's perpetual brooding mood spot on.
