Description
I'm going for a mixture of the eighties cartoon and the cover of a seventies Marvel mag here.Captured by the villainous TOAD-MEN, Hulk and She-Hulk do battle in the Toad arena to win the favour of the Toad Emperor! Toad-ally.

Oh! I saw the full comic you did over at your site with this! I loved it! Just sorry it stopped before they both fully hulked out the second time. Love your work.

Hulk is about 300,000,000x stronger in raw strength.

The question is: Who will win?
I bet it all to the gorgeous gammazon and everyone's favorite: the She Hulk
The way you drew the toad people in many positions and with so different expressions is what I consider the real catch of this artwork. It's what you really find in an arena when you watch a Wrestle Combat, a Box Fight or even one a football match.
Great piece, Manic!

Oh those Toad-Men...I guess with how no one trusts them they need to pass their time somehow.

Actually, the audience is my favorite part of this, esp the "hot flies" concession lady. It reminds me of early 2000AD comics; same sense of humor.

Kinda reminds me of the 80's cartoon of Incredible Hulk. More specifically, the "Enter: the she-hulk" episode. But there were no "Toad-Men" in that episode.

My Hulk and She-Hulk are based on their appearences in that show. I have a soft spot for the Toad-Men because they were in the first Hulk comic I ever read, reprinted in an old Marvel UK annual from the seventies.

If you can make the investment, buy Incredible hulk #2 from the 60's. That was the first toad men first appearance. They made a re-appearance in Sensational She-Hulk #2 in the 90's.

Nice variety with the Toad Men and the proportions of your Hulk have improved. Very nice homage - another piece drawn ages ago but inked and coloured now?

I drew this a few months ago and coloured it last night, yeah.

So how many of these are lying about in drawers and such? A Habit of Art - always drawing on the spur of the moment. I used to do that with Mortal Kombat characters and Power Rangers monsters as a kid.

Like most people who draw, I do a lot of drawing, and there are folders stuffed full of material that doesn't make it online. Now, I should point out that most of this stuff doesn't make it online for a reason-- IE, it's crap and I'm too ashamed of it to allow it to be viewed by other human eyes. However I periodically sift through these folders and bump certain pieces into another folder for drawings that I want to embellish further. This piece was in that folder.

Ah, that is very intruiging news indeed. Oh and one more bit of talk-talk, nothing new available as of yet on the old payset front. Give em a nudge for us will ya
